It's about more than money
Although it has not always been so in this line of work, most interviewees now describe favorable compensation--pay and benefits--comparable to other jobs on a similar level. (Since conducting these interviews we have read that one compliance officer, as part of a corporate merger, received severance compensation estimated at over $5,700,000. No vows of poverty in this order!) In general, however, pay is not such a large concern.
